Another week, another story about the next generation of consoles.<\/p>\n
In this edition of The Future Today!<\/em> Sony<\/a>‘s France boss, Philippe Cardone, says that the company will most likely follow the previous generation’s events and be the last to announce their next-gen plans.<\/p>\n Why? Because Sony were last out the door last time, which means their console is technically newer, or something.<\/p>\n Picture this being said in a smug, French accent:<\/p>\n \u201cWii is pressed for time because it\u2019s in decline. In our case, we have a lot less pressure. We were the last to release PS3<\/a>, and we will probably be the last to announce something [this time around],\u201d said Cardone.<\/p>\n Rumours were flying around earlier this month about an E3<\/a> announcement for the next-gen PlayStation, but Sony boss, Kaz Hirai was quick to shoot those down, as well, saying that the plan was always to make the PlayStation 3 a 10-year console.<\/p>\n 10 years ends in 2016, by the way.
