It’s a good day to be a PC<\/a> gamer if you’re a Dungeon Defenders fan, because you’ve got something those smelly console gamers will never have – a heap of DLC<\/a>. Go on, point and laugh.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter much thought and investigation, we\u2019ve decided it\u2019s unfeasible from both a technical and business standpoint to bring the PC-only content (Holiday DLC, New Heroes Pack, Barbarian, Assault Mission Pack, Nightmare Mode, Shops, etc.) to the console versions,\u201d wrote Trendy Entertainment community manager Josh “Hitmonchan” Isom over on the game\u2019s forums.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is for a variety of reasons including the massive restructuring of the current console game that would have to take place; the QA process necessary to prepare for submission; patch size limitations; patch stacking requirements; and the opportunity cost of pursuing other projects.\u201d<\/p>\n

Launched in August last year, the tower defence\/action RPG\/cute simulator sold over 250,000 units in its first two weeks, and more than 600,000 by the end of 2011 – the majority of sales happening on PC.<\/p>\n
