Fans of the first Risen will remember hunting down Steelbeard’s treasure along with his illegitimate daughter, Patty – fending off Captain Romanov and his gang of landlocked rats along the way.<\/p>\n

In Treasure Isle, the hunt for that mysterious treasure continues.<\/p>\n

Piranha Bytes has announced via Facebook that players who pre-order copies of Risen 2 will receive the DLC<\/a> free of charge.<\/p>\n

Landlubbers (you mateys who’d rather not pre-order) can expect to pay $9.99 for the DLC on PC<\/a> or 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox 360<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The wonderful people at Deep Silver have confirmed that the PC version of Risen 2 will be released using Steamworks, as well. That means no more draconian Tages and no more activation limits.<\/p>\n

The reasons for this decision, the publisher says, is that they believe Steam is reliable, compatible across the hardware spectrum, stable and that it adds value to players.<\/p>\n

Well, it’s certainly considerably better than Tages, SecuRom and their ilk, that’s for sure.<\/p>\n

Fans can also expect achievements and most likely more DLC along the way.<\/p>\n
