Logitech SA has announced that it will be sponsoring the DoGaming League 2012 StarCraft II tournament with R50,000 cash.<\/p>\n

Speaking to DoGaming, Logitech senior retail account manager, John Smyth, said that the company is excited to support local gamers again in 2012.<\/p>\n

“We want to support the gaming community and feel the DGL was the perfect platform to do so,” said Smyth. “We’re very excited about this year’s league and are looking forward to some fantastic competition.”<\/p>\n

The first leg of DGL 2012 has already kicked off, but players may still register for Leg 2. The league will run over a total of 3 legs throughout the year, culminating in the DoGaming Championships at the end of the year, where the top performing players over the year will be invited to battle it out for prizes.<\/p>\n

The DGL 2012 Battlefield 3 league is being sponsored R50,000 by EA and an additional R50,000 by Incredible Connection.<\/p>\n

Monster Energy is putting R10,000 into the Modern Warfare 3 league, and Megarom is putting another R50,000 into it.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlong with the R10 000, we\u2019ll also supply the winning clan with branded t-shirts including their clan names and caps. Each member of the winning team will also receive a case of Monster Energy drinks a month for a year,\u201d said Monster Energy\u2019s marketing manager Garan Reck.<\/p>\n

Alienware has also recently confirmed that it is sponsoring DGL 2012 with X51 gaming desktops. The high-end gaming machines will be given away at the DoGaming 2012 Championship finals at the end of the year. Alienware has promised over R250,000 worth of gaming hardware prizes.<\/p>\n

The DoGaming league is SA\u2019s longest standing and most established competitive gaming league, and this year is shaping up to be the most exciting yet, with an unprecedented level of prize sponsorship being put on the table.<\/p>\n
