It’s only three months old, but The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has apparently already been updated more times than Oblivion has in six years. Whether or not that’s because Bethesda<\/a> didn’t bother fixing Oblivion much is probably another story altogether, but either way, they’re making a big effort this time around and that’s what matters now.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you put all this time into something and someone can\u2019t play it, you feel terrible. They have every right to be pissed off,\u201d Skyrim game director Todd Howard told Game Informer.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe already have more updates out for this than Fallout 3 and Oblivion in their lifetime. So we\u2019re really committed to fixing everything.\u201d<\/p>\n

They’d kind of have to be, though, considering the game’s tremendous commercial success. That’s a whole lot of people who want something done about the flying horses (or not done about them, maybe).<\/p>\n

\u201cThe percentage of people that have a problem on any particular system ends up a low percentage, but the raw number ends up being larger than we would have expected,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

And in related news, the game’s latest patch is now available as a beta on Steam<\/a>. Check Bethesda’s blog (linked below) for information about the update, and how to get it, then add it to your quest log.<\/p>\n
