Local distributor Ster Kinekor today unleashed Sony\u2019s latest generation of portable gaming devices on South Africa, and to make things easier for you guys we have a round-up of various local price points.<\/p>\n

The PS Vita comes in two flavoure: 3G and Wi-Fi only.<\/p>\n

The 3G version also has built in Wi-Fi, and carries a recommended retail price (RRP) of R3,599. The WiFi only version carries an RRP of R2,999.<\/p>\n

If you want the 3G version you will need to RICA a SIM card, in accordance with SA law.<\/p>\n

Ster Kinekor is also distributing PS Vita memory cards, available in 3 sizes at the moment: 4GB (R199 RRP), 8GB (R349 RRP), and 16GB (R499 RRP).<\/p>\n

Most large retailers such as CNA, Musica and Look & Listen will adopt the recommended pricing, but bargain hunters willing to dig a little deeper can shave a few hundred Rand off the purchase price.<\/p>\n

Although there is not a great deal of variation in terms of pricing at this point, the differences that are there are worthwhile.<\/p>\n

Kalahari.net continues to maintain its reputation for competitive pricing, once again being the cheapest place to get PS Vita in South Africa.<\/p>\n
