The Counter-Strike blog recently fired off 7,000 beta keys to current CSS and CS 1.6 players as well as 2,000 beta keys to multiple community sites around the world.<\/p>\n

On the off chance that you are a Counter-Strike buff and haven’t received a beta key, you have a chance to get one by filling in a survey.<\/p>\n

That’s right, the next batch of keys will be sent to fans who complete the hardware survey via Steam<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Don’t complete it, no beta key for you.<\/p>\n

The blog goes on to point out that “There are no wrong answers to the survey questions.” Why would they say that unless there were wrong answers? *gasp*<\/p>\n

The Counter-Strike community also adds that they will continue to give active Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta players keys to share with their friends.<\/p>\n

With no mandate on when CS:GO will be shipped, the devs insist that, “By the end of this, everyone will be playing the game – it will be the released game that you’re just playing. Then, at some point, we’ll say, ‘OK we’re going to release it.'”<\/p>\n
