Last week, Sony’s PS Vita finally touched down – there was a whole lot of excitement, ooh-ing and aah-ing – but now it’s back to business, we can’t get distracted by shiny new things, even if Uncharted: Golden Abyss is the prettiest thing we’ve seen on a portable.<\/p>\n

Sorry, what was I talking about? Oh yes, new games! This week is a bit scant on quantity – but hopefully that will be made up with quality; and it looks like there’s quality here, indeed.<\/p>\n

SSX<\/h3>\n

It’s been a long time since we last got our hands on an SSX game – sure, other snowboarding games have come and gone – but nothing quite matched the exhilaration of doing the party snake on a snowboard while flying through the air, surrounded by bright colours and funky music.<\/p>\n

Granted, EA’s taken the series to a slightly more level-headed front (definitely not as outrageous as SSX Tricky was, that’s for sure) – but they definitely haven’t forgotten the series’ roots or flavour.<\/p>\n

So we’re expecting something new, with the same spirit of the old – and if this trailer is anything to go by, the Tricky days are still lingering on…even if they’ve been remixed a bit. Warning: video contains dubstep.<\/p>\n
