Remember the Steam app that was in beta not so long ago? I remember, because I signed up for it and got in, and then was hassled for my spare invite which I never gave out, out of pure spite.<\/p>\n
Turns out the joke’s on me, because the app is now out of beta and freely available to everyone.<\/p>\n
The app allows you to connect with all your Steam friends while you’re out and about, and let’s you interrupt their games by chatting to them using Steam’s chat functionality.<\/p>\n
Hey, you’re not playing games, so why should you care?<\/p>\n
Most importantly though, the app gives you access to the the Steam store – so you’ll never have to miss a Steam special ever again, even if you’re stuck at some boring family function with your grandma.<\/p>\n
The app is available for free on the Apple and Android app stores.<\/p>\n
