The Carter brothers, of the Dene and Simon persuasion, were instrumental to Lionhead<\/a>‘s figurehead series, Fable.<\/p>\n

Simon is fondly remembered for his part in the Bullfrog team that produced Dungeon Keeper and as a former Lionhead tech director.<\/p>\n

He announced that he would be vacating his position in June 2011 to focus on producing digitally distributed titles for PC<\/a> and console, calling it a \u201cvery difficult\u201d decision.<\/p>\n

The departure of his brother Dene, a year later, comes as little surprise.<\/p>\n

The Carters have reunited and formed a UK-based studio called ‘Another Place Productions’ and will be joined by former art director John McCormack, technical director Guillaume Portes and executive producer, Jeremie Texier – all former employees of Lionhead Studios.<\/p>\n

How the loss of such critical members will affect Lionhead remains to be seen.<\/p>\n

With over ten years of experience and renown in the gaming industry, these heavyweights have some high hopes pinned on them.<\/p>\n

Another Place Productions will be focusing on \u201chigh-quality, meaningful experiences\u201d for the PSN<\/a>, XBLA<\/a>, Steam<\/a> and mobile platforms.<\/p>\n
