{"id":33559,"date":"2012-03-05T15:59:48","date_gmt":"2012-03-05T13:59:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=33559"},"modified":"2012-03-05T16:26:32","modified_gmt":"2012-03-05T14:26:32","slug":"mweb-clan-connection-opens-registrations-for-ps3-mw3-tournament","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/33559-mweb-clan-connection-opens-registrations-for-ps3-mw3-tournament","title":{"rendered":"MWEB Clan Connection opens registrations for PS3 MW3 tournament"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>New local community gaming initiative Clan Connection has opened up registration for a PS3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 tournament, with big prizes and everything.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve been waiting for a chance to show everybody on the PlayStation Network how good you are at pushing analogue sticks and pressing buttons quickly, THIS &#8211; <em>THIS!<\/em> &#8211; IS YOUR MOMENT.<\/p>\n<p>See mom, everything is finally happening like you said it would.<\/p>\n<p>The single-elimination tournament starts from 18 March, and has space for 16 active teams, and 16 reserve teams &#8211; presumably just in case any of 16 active teams don&#8217;t turn up (the &#8220;Because of Cape Town Special Rule&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>Most of the spaces are already booked up, so better get in there before they&#8217;re all taken and all your dreams are ruined.<\/p>\n<p>Big wins include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clan 1st place: 5 x R600 gift vouchers (R3,000)<\/li>\n<li>Clan 2nd place: 5 x R300 gift vouchers (R1,500)<\/li>\n<li>Clan 3rd place: 5 x R150 gift vouchers (R750)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;m not entirely sure what those gift vouchers are for, but I&#8217;ve emailed the guys to confirm whether they&#8217;re good for leg waxes or cupcakes or what. <strong>UPDATE! <\/strong>They&#8217;re Kalahari vouchers.
