Gaming product retailer BT Games has announced their plans for new “concept stores” set to roll out with the opening of the new Blue Route and Tygervalley stores on 29 and 31 March 2012 respectively.<\/p>\n
The concept stores will provide customers with an interactive experience prior to making their purchase.<\/p>\n
“Instead of just picking up a game off the shelf, customers will actually experience the game on an interactive touch screen, view trailers and read all the latest gaming news”, said Shannon Rogotzki, Operations Director for BT Games in South Africa. “These stores will become our premier signature stores and will be strategically positioned to service larger areas than our current stores.”<\/p>\n
BT Games has reaffirmed their support from SA distributors Megarom Interactive, Electronic Arts, Ster Kinekor, Microsoft, Nintendo, Apex Interactive and Blowfish Investments.<\/p>\n
Dubbed BT Games “XL” stores, Blue Route and Tygervalley will be the first to appear and the roll\u2010out will continue through the year in Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban.<\/p>\n
BT Games said they will continue to offer clients regular events, such as pre\u2010release game play evenings, competitions, and midnight launches.<\/p>\n
BT Games has planned many opening specials for Blue Route (valid 29 March) and Tygervalley (valid 31 March), as well as other activities such as competitions, and a “Darth Vader” in\u2010store appearance.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
