{"id":34085,"date":"2012-03-14T10:52:10","date_gmt":"2012-03-14T08:52:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=34085"},"modified":"2012-03-14T17:05:31","modified_gmt":"2012-03-14T15:05:31","slug":"counter-strike-global-offensive-a-terrible-game-right-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/34085-counter-strike-global-offensive-a-terrible-game-right-now","title":{"rendered":"Counter-Strike: Global Offensive a &#8220;terrible game right now&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Uh oh; someone who supposedly knows what he\u2019s talking about just slagged off <a title=\"Company Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/11901-Valve\">Valve<\/a>\u2019s Counter-Strike reboot, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS:GO).<\/p>\n<p>Tomi \u201clurppis\u201d Kovanen has said in a thread on the official forums that CS:GO is \u201cterrible\u201d and \u201cnot by any means fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And it\u2019s not just him &#8211; apparently all the cool kids are hating on the game based on the closed beta. \u201cThat\u2019s what every top player thinks as far as I can tell,\u201d said Kovanen.<\/p>\n<p>Kovenan formerly led Evil Geniuses\u2019 CS team, and he\u2019s said to have earned about $340,000 in (team) prize money playing CS since 2005.<\/p>\n<p>In a follow up interview with PC Gamer, Kovenan cites map changes, poor visibility, player movement and recoil as some of the game\u2019s most serious downfalls.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI played CS:GO for three hours a night, four nights in a row for the <a title=\"Term Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/21511-CES-Consumer-Electronics-Show\">CES<\/a> Plantronics thing. And on day four I still couldn\u2019t tell who was a CT or a T. So I just shot everyone at first to find out if they\u2019re a teammate or an enemy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>CS:GO is planned for release on <a title=\"System Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/21037-PC-Gaming\">PC<\/a>, <a title=\"System Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19888-Playstation-3-(PS3)\">PS3<\/a> and <a title=\"System Information\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19882-Xbox-360\">Xbox 360<\/a> in mid-2012.<\/p>\n<h5>Source: <a
