The Call of Duty<\/a> franchise struck unexpected oil with their zombie survival mode which was tacked onto the fifth game in the series, World at War.<\/p>\n

This became quite a sensation, and Activision<\/a> have been developing the idea ever since.<\/p>\n

One of these incarnations is on the mobile market, with Black Ops: Zombies for iOS<\/a> devices. If you haven\u2019t tried it, there\u2019s no better time than now as Activision have released a big update, including a new map and new weapons.<\/p>\n

The new map is \u201cfan favourite\u201d Ascension, and features “perk-stealing zombie monkeys, flesh-eating Soviet Zombies and much more in a trap-filled, Cold War era cosmodrome”. I don’t know what a cosmodrome is, but it sounds terrifying.<\/p>\n

New weapons include the Thunder Gun, Matroyshka dolls, Gersh Device and the Sickle, whatever those may be.<\/p>\n

For the trophy hunters there are more achievements to unlock, and Activision will throw in 5,000 CoD points as well.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re already satisfied with things as they are, at least there\u2019s a stack of optimisations and fixes as well.<\/p>\n
