Razer will not be able to sample Blades for review at the moment and will release a press release when available.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Original article<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Razer\u2019s plan to \u201csave PC gaming\u201d with the thin, powerful and feature rich Razer Blade gaming laptop doesn\u2019t include South Africa, with the word being we will never get the device.<\/p>\n<p>This is according to a spokesperson for Razer.<\/p>\n<p>The Razer Blade is a low profile 17-inch gaming laptop, featuring an Intel Core i7 2640M processor, 8GB of RAM, a full HD display, an Nvidia GT555 graphics card, and a 256GB Plextor solid state drive. It retails for $2,799 (R21,426.27) in the United States, and <a title=\"AnandTech review\" href=\"http:\/\/www.anandtech.com\/show\/5606\/razer-blade-review\/1\">AnandTech has already reviewed the device<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Following <a title=\"PC Gamer announcement\" href=\"http:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/2012\/03\/18\/no-razer-blade-for-europe\/\">the announcement<\/a> that the Blade will not be available in Europe, MyGaming sent though some questions to our local Razer liaison to find out whether the device will make it to South African shores.<\/p>\n<p>Our local Razer liaison contacted Razer PR in Germany with the questions, to which the reply \u201cnever\u201d was forthcoming.<\/p>\n<p>Our guy then asked \u201cAs in never?\u201d to which the Razer spokesperson replied, \u201cAs in never.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>We did contact Razer for more comment on the matter, but they did not reply by the time of publication.<\/p>\n<p>So there you have it folks, us South Africans will have to sit back and watch PC gaming die out with no hope of a saviour coming any time soon.<\/p>\n<p>If that thought depresses you, never fear, razor blades are thankfully in abundant supply.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<style
