Overhaul Games has added Mac OS X to the list of Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition launch platforms, bringing the total number of launch platforms up to three, which everybody knows is also a totally magic<\/em> number so that seems appropriate.<\/p>\n

“The Enhanced Edition will include a variety of Mac OS X specific features, including widescreen and iCloud support,” promises Overhaul over on the official site.<\/p>\n

The game is apparently also getting cross-platform multiplayer support between PC, iPad, and Mac, according to Beamdog boss Trent Oster. There’s that magic number again.<\/p>\n

Xbox and PS3 gamers hoping to make the party list will be disappointed to learn that the studio is\u00a0 “pursuing a non-console strategy”. But maybe it’s really about maintaining the magic number three.<\/p>\n

That’s the third time it’s come up in this article alone<\/em>. Coincidence? I think not.<\/p>\n

The game’s due out later this year, although no release date has been confirmed yet.<\/p>\n
