South African retailers are continuing the trend of weekly specials on various technologies, offering a range of gadgets at discounted prices.<\/p>\n

Incredible Connection, Dion Wired and Hi-Fi Corporation are offering specials on TVs, tablet PCs, cameras and more. Below are some of this week\u2019s standout deals:<\/p>\n

Acer Iconia A500 32GB Wi-Fi<\/h3>\n

Incredible Connection has dropped the price of the Acer Iconia A500 to R2,999.95.<\/p>\n

The Android based tablet PC’s noteworthy features include a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280 x 800 resolution, 32GB of internal storage, a dual core Tegra 2 processor, 1GB of RAM and an HDMI out port.<\/p>\n

The Iconia A500 runs the older Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system, however Acer does plan on releasing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the A500 in April, so you won\u2019t be stuck on Honeycomb for too long.<\/p>\n

Amazon Kindle Wi-Fi + 3G and Touch<\/h3>\n

Incredible Connection is selling the Amazon Kindle Wi-Fi + 3G model of the popular eBook reader for R1,999.95.<\/p>\n

The Kindle features a 6-inch e-ink screen, 30-day battery life, a full QWERTY keyboard and built-in 3G connectivity, allowing you to connect to 3G networks worldwide free of charge.<\/p>\n

The Kindle Touch edition is also available from Incredible Connection for R1,999.95.<\/p>\n

This version does away with the physical keyboard in favour of a 6-inch touch screen to control the device. Wi-Fi connectivity is also present, though this model lacks 3G capability.<\/p>\n

Sansui 55-inch LED Full HD<\/h3>\n

Hi-Fi Corporation has the Sansui STYO1655 55-inch LED Full HD TV on special this week for R8,999.99.<\/p>\n

The Sansui features two HDMI inputs, USB connectivity, a PC mode, and a 2-year local warranty. While this TV may not match up to the more reputable brands in terms of features or image quality, it is one of the cheapest 55-inch LED offerings currently available.<\/p>\n

Canon 600D triple lens bundle<\/h3>\n

Dion Wired has a Canon 600D DSLR camera bundle on sale this week for R10,000.<\/p>\n

The bundle includes the Canon 600D DSLR body, Canon 18 \u2013 55mm IS lens, Canon 55 \u2013 250mm IS lens, and the Canon 50mm F1.8 lens, as well as a Canon camera bag and a SanDisk Extreme 8GB memory card.<\/p>\n

The bundle price is cheaper than buying all of the items separately, and undercuts most of the large photography retailers in the country.<\/p>\n

LG 23-inch 3D Monitor (D2342P)<\/h3>\n

Dion Wired has the LG D3242P 23-inch LED 3D monitor on special for R2,000.<\/p>\n

The monitor sports 1920 x 1080 Full HD resolution, as well as 3D capabilities and 2D to 3D conversion via software. The bundle also includes a pair of LG 3D glasses for watching 3D content on the monitor.<\/p>\n
