“For millennia, Ulduar has remained undisturbed by mortals, far away from their concerns and their struggles. Yet since its recent discovery, many have wondered what the structure’s original purpose may have been. Some thought it a cit, built to herald the glory of its makers; some thought it a vault containing innumerable treasures, perhaps even relics of the mighty Titans themselves. Such speculations were wrong. Beyond Ulduar’s gates lies no city, no treasure vault, no final answer to the Titan’s mysteries. All that awaits those who dare set foot in Ulduar is a horror even the Titans could not, would not destroy, an evil they merely… contained. <\/p>\n

Ulduar is WoW’s most ambitious sounding raid yet. It is a natural progression from WOTLK’s newly introduced Naxxramas and Sartharion instances.<\/p>\n

The new dungeon will comprise of two separate raiding areas. One section will be an epic battle between the player and a vast army that stands in front of the dungeon entrance. The second area will allow players to enter the actual dungeon to discover the “secrets of Ulduar”.<\/p>\n

The dungeon will feature a total of 14 bosses, 11 of which will have an optional hard more.

The 3.1 patch will only be available to owners of the Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack. It is set to hit  public test realms “very soon”, with nothing to indicate when it will be available to other realms just yet.<\/p>\n
