Goichi “Suda51” Suda’s studio Grasshopper Manufacture<\/a> has announced its hot new thing, Killer is Dead, for PS3<\/a> and Xbox<\/a>.<\/p>\n

According to Adriasang, the game’s protagonist is the unambiguously-named “Executioner”, who “goes around the world putting an end to S level criminals”. Whatever that means. It has swords too, apparently, and “beautiful Bond Girl-like ladies”.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Japanese gaming mag Famitsu, Suda listed the game’s themes as “moon”, “earth”, “brilliant game”, and “love”, because a guy who calls himself Suda51 and works on games with names like Lollipop Chainsaw can’t be expected to just say, “It’s an action game. You kill stuff for points.”<\/p>\n

Killer is Dead is scheduled to launch next year, but in the meantime, you can get your Grasshopper Manufacture fix with Sine Mora (released last week on XBLA), the Kinect-only Diabolical Pitch (releasing today on XBLA), Lollipop Chainsaw (June, PS3 and Xbox), and Black Knight Sword (PSN, XBLA later this year).
