As expected, with the rumour of the PS4 being codenamed \u2018Orbis<\/a>\u2019, a bunch of other speculated details are inevitably going to reach the internet masses.<\/p>\n

The latest is what lies within Sony\u2019s expected Playstation 4, although speculating about console specs prior to it even being announced is not really an exact science.<\/p>\n

Despite the uncertainty, Sony\u2019s next generation offering is said to pack a 2.9Ghz quad core AMD A8-3850 APU with a discrete graphics chip, while a\u00a0Radeon\u00a0HD7670 GPU provides the actual muscle. The PS4’s GPU is the same\u00a0DirectX\u00a011 AMD 6670 which reportedly is very similar to that of the\u00a0Xbox 720\u2019s inner workings.<\/p>\n

Although the consoles are looking similar (according to the loose rumors) the PS4\u2019s advantage will supposedly \u201ccome from the secondary GPU provided by the APU\u201d.<\/p>\n
