A planned Gears of War game, subtitled \u2018Exile\u2019, has officially been cancelled.<\/p>\n
Whether the game was a spin-off, downloadable game or primary edition into the series is irrelevant now as we will never get the chance to play it.<\/p>\n
Epic’s Cliff Bleszinski has confirmed that the rumoured title was indeed in development, but has been slammed in the trash before ever being announced.<\/p>\n
“Let’s just bury the hatchet now,” he told Gamespot. “Gears of War: Exile was an unannounced game that I can’t give any details about that has since been cancelled.”<\/p>\n
In 2010 ‘industry insiders’ said a Kinect Gears of War title is in the works at Epic Games.<\/p>\n
Epic Games then quietly filed a trademark for Gears of War: Exile and registered a logo to go along with it.<\/p>\n
