For years, Valve has been all about writing software that provides great gameplay experiences. Now we\u2019re developing hardware to enhance those experiences, and you can be a key part of making that happen.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
That’s the introductory blurb on a Valve HQ job vacancy for an electronics engineer to “join our highly motivated team that’s doing hardware design, prototyping, testing, and production across a wide range of platforms,” and just so it’s perfectly clear, “We’re not talking about me-too mice and gamepads here – help us invent whole new gaming experiences.”<\/p>\n
According to the ad, the employee would “work with the hardware team to conceive, design, evaluate, and produce new types of input, output, and platform hardware”.<\/p>\n
Putting two and two together makes four, and Gabe Newell has four chins. It’s all adding up, people.<\/p>\n
