Electronic Arts, voted worst video game company in America<\/a>, wants to branch out their Need for Speed franchise onto the big-screen.<\/p>\n

The publisher is looking to develop the racing series into a ‘Fast and the Furious’ type franchise with the help of ‘Real Steel’ writers, George and John Gatins.<\/p>\n

John Gatins and EA are set to produce the project, and are shopping the script around to various Hollywood studios.<\/p>\n

Paramount are\u00a0reportedly\u00a0showing solid interest, but the producers are still considering other bids from different options.<\/p>\n

Given that the series has experimented with actors, live-action cutscenes and ‘undercover-cop-turned-racer’ plotlines before, it wouldn’t be too much of a stretch to imagine a NFS film.<\/p>\n
