{"id":36171,"date":"2012-04-17T16:00:21","date_gmt":"2012-04-17T14:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=36171"},"modified":"2012-04-18T00:59:00","modified_gmt":"2012-04-17T22:59:00","slug":"sa-cs-go-beta-servers-launched-by-mweb-gamezone","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/36171-sa-cs-go-beta-servers-launched-by-mweb-gamezone","title":{"rendered":"SA CS: GO beta servers launched by MWEB GameZone"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a title=\"Valve\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/11901-Valve\">Valve\u2019s<\/a> upcoming multi-platform, squad-based FPS, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO), has been in closed beta testing since November 2011 \u2013 and it\u2019s now a lot closer to home.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"Mweb\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20457-MWeb\">MWEB<\/a> GameZone has announced that they now have two live CS: GO servers &#8211; each one located in the respective Johannesburg and Cape Town data-centres. This should be good news for lucky locals who have managed to secure access to the closed beta testing period, as international latency is not ideal for fast-paced <a title=\"FPS - First Person Shooter\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/23882-FPS-First-Person-Shooter\">FPS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>CS: GO is pegged to launch on <a title=\"Windows PC\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/23889-Windows\">Windows PC<\/a>, <a title=\"Mac OS X\" href=\"http:\/\/mybroadband.co.za\/vb\/showthread.php\/360856-Mac-OS-X\">Mac OS X<\/a>, <a title=\"Xbox 360\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19882-Xbox-360\">Xbox 360<\/a> (via <a title=\"XBLA - Xbox Live Arcade\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/24147-XBLA-Xbox-Live-Arcade\">XBLA<\/a>) and <a title=\"Playstation 3 (PS3)\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19888-Playstation-3-(PS3)\">PS3<\/a> (via <a title=\"Playstation Network (PSN)\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/19910-Playstation-Network-(PSN)\">PSN<\/a>).
