It\u2019s finally here! No, not Episode 3 (man, how many times can I use that joke? I don\u2019t know Gabe<\/a>, how many years can it take to make an expansion? Zing!), that other thing Valve<\/a> promised.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m talking obviously about Portal 2\u2019s map editor. Quite some time ago we heard this was in the pipeline, and would allow us to create wickedly treacherous environments to make our friends navigate like some kind of nerdy Jigsaw.\u00a0 Well, Valve has finally announced that we\u2019ll be getting said map editor for Mac and real computers on the 8th of May.<\/p>\n

The DLC<\/a> is titled \u201cPerpetual Testing Initiative\u201d, and as promised will allow players to create their own puzzles and then share them online.<\/p>\n

“The Initiative comes with a simplified puzzle maker that allows that creation of mind-bending puzzles without ever leaving the game,” said Valve.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe puzzle maker can directly publish maps to the Steam Workshop where users can browse, vote on, and select to play them. Selected puzzles will automatically be downloaded and installed inside Portal 2.”<\/p>\n

Oh man I can\u2019t wait, I know just what I\u2019m going to make first. \u201cHELLO GABE. I WANT TO PLAY A GAME. IT\u2019S BEEN FOUR YEARS SINCE EPISODE 2\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n
