Resistance 2 developer Insomniac has announced that the PS3 exclusive will be getting a DLC pack along with a new patch today.<\/p>\n
The Aftermath Map pack will cost $5.99 (R60) will offer three new multiplayer arenas; Pit Stop, Aftermath and Orick. There will also be six new skins for multiplayer characters going live, two of which will be female. Each skin will sell for $0.99 (R10).<\/p>\n
At the same time, users will be able to download the new free 1.50 patch, which the Resistance 2 community is reffering to as “the big patch” which includes two new multiplayer modes; Meltdown and Superhuman Coop. The patch will also fix various bugs.<\/p>\n

• Map fixes for competitive Chicago level<\/p>\n
• Games with Friends and Clan members in them are now highlighted in the “Find Game” screen<\/p>\n
• Limited late joining has been added to ranked games<\/p>\n
• Deathmatch spawning has been improved<\/p>\n
• Players can’t earn progress towards Berserks when they are dead<\/p>\n
• Reduced sprint speed of core carrier in Core Control games<\/p>\n
• Cooperative XP bonuses have been increased by 30%<\/p>\n
• Cooperative games respawn time is now 20 seconds<\/p>\n
• Players keep their grenades if they get revived in a cooperative game<\/p>\n
• Players now have a “Join Game” option for players on their friends list<\/p>\n
• A player’s own name is now in white in the obituary text<\/p>\n
