{"id":3731,"date":"2009-03-31T00:25:00","date_gmt":"2009-03-30T22:25:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"braid-pc-release-gets-delayed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/pc\/3731-braid-pc-release-gets-delayed","title":{"rendered":"Braid PC release gets delayed"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In a <a href=\"http:\/\/braid-game.com\/news\/?p=542\" target=\"_self\">blog post<\/a> on the game&rsquo;s official site, Braid creator Jonathan Blow has announced that the PC release of his critically acclaimed indie platformer, formerly an Xbox Live exclusive, will be pushed back 10 days.<\/p>\n<p>Originally scheduled for release on today, the game will now only make its way to PC owners on April 10.<\/p>\n<p>The reason for the delay has been attributed to a need to fix various problems that came up in testing.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;So, sorry for the delay, I know folks have been waiting a long time for the PC version and it&rsquo;s not so great to have to wait an extra 10 days, but it&rsquo;s only so that I can try to ship you guys a version that works well (which frankly is impossible in Windows, but the best I can do is make it work for most people most of the time).&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Braid turned heads in 2008 by combining traditional elements of platform gaming with a number of innovative time manipulation game mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p>The game was incredibly well received, earning scores of between 8.8\/10 and 9.5\/10 from top gaming publications.<\/p>\n<p>Its unique artistic direction and innovative gameplay makes Braid a current must own title for the Xbox 360.<\/p>\n<p>The game will be available for PC via a number of digital distribution channels, including STEAM, Greenhouse, GamersGate and ImpulseDriven.com.
