Tony Hawk is returning in true HD glory in June 2012 according to a tweet<\/a> from the Birdman himself.<\/p>\n

The legendary skateboarder thanked Robomodo’s Joshua Tsui for a donation of clean water to the Tony Hawk charity, and then confirmed that the HD remake will be landing in June.<\/p>\n

Seems like Robomodo are feeling very charitable, because the HD release is a pure love-letter to all old-school Tony Hawk Pro Skater fans.<\/p>\n

The downloadable game will not be an HD porting of the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater, but rather a blend of levels from the first two instalments, remade in a brand new engine designed for the PS3<\/a> and Xbox 360<\/a>. Confirmed playable characters include Tony Hawk, Chris Cole, Eric Koston, Nyjah Huston, Andrew Reynolds, Rodney Mullen, Lyn-z Adams Hawkins (Pastrana), and Tony’s son Riley Hawk.<\/p>\n
