EA<\/a> and DICE<\/a> have announced that Battlefield 3 will be hosting its first Double XP weekend across all three platforms – PC<\/a>, PS3<\/a>, and Xbox 360<\/a>.<\/p>\n

At the conclusion of each match the bonus XP will be reflected as “Additional Points”. Double XP will be accrued across all ranked servers and matches.<\/p>\n

The Double XP weekend begins Saturday, 12 May at 09:01AM SAST and continues through to Monday, May 14 at 08:59AM SAST. All players participating in ranked matches will earn double XP across all maps and modes.<\/p>\n

Since its launch on 25 October 2011, Battlefield 3 has become the fastest selling title in EA’s history, selling more than 15 million units since release – although EA recently revealed that 6.3 million of those are active users.<\/p>\n
