1.    (Wii) Sports – 44.5 Million<\/p>\n

2.    (Wii)  Play – 22.77 Million<\/p>\n

3.    (Wii) Fit – 17.89 Million<\/p>\n

4.    (PS2) San Andreas – 17.78 Million<\/p>\n

5.    (Wii) Mario Kart – 15.38 Million<\/p>\n

6.    (PS2) Grand Turismo 3 A-Spec – 14.87 Million<\/p>\n

7.    (PS2) Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – 14.2 Million<\/p>\n

8.    (PS2) Gran Theft Auto III – 11.6 Million<\/p>\n

9.    (PS) Grand Turismo –  10.85 Million<\/p>\n

10.    (PS) Final Fantasy VII – 9.72 Million<\/p>\n

It is no surprise that the Wii and PS2 dominate this chart, as they enjoy a far higher install base and have been available for longer than the Xbox 360 and PS3.

2.    (Xbox 360) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – 7.21 Million<\/p>\n

3.    (Xbox 360) Grand Theft Auto IV – 6.95 Million<\/p>\n

4.    (Xbox 360) Gears of War – 5.87 Million<\/p>\n

5.    (PS3) Grand Theft Auto IV – 5.53 Million<\/p>\n

6.    (Xbox 360) Call of Duty: World at War – 5.24 Million<\/p>\n

7.    (Xbox 360) Gears of War 2  – 4.75 Million<\/p>\n

8.    (Xbox 360) Assassin’s Creed – 4.47 Million<\/p>\n

9.    (Xbox 360) Guitar Hero III – Legends of Rock – 4.15 Million<\/p>\n

10.    (PS3) Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – 4.12 Million<\/p>\n

With the Wii and older consoles taken out of the equation we can clearly see how the Xbox 360 has sold far more games than the PS3. This can largely be attributed to the Xbox 360 launching a year earlier than the PS3 and having over 8 million more installed consoles than Sony.<\/p>\n
