The game’s not been out 24 hours yet, and it’s already broken – apparently a bug in Diablo III<\/a> is crashing the game and locking players out of their Battle.net accounts.<\/p>\n

According to reports over on Eurogamer and the official Battle.net forums, the now instantly notorious Error 3006 seems to be limited (for the moment, anyway) to the Demon Hunter class and is triggered when a Templar follower is equipped with a shield. You’d think stuff like this might have been worked out in the beta, but maybe nobody liked shields then or something.<\/p>\n

“Yup, it de-synched, booted me back to the character screen with all buttons greyed out and had to close the program from Windows<\/a>,” Eurogamer reader MightyMouse said. “Can’t get back in to EU or American servers.”<\/p>\n

Blizzard<\/a> is reportedly looking into the issue, and suggests not equipping the Templar with gear before accepting him as a follower to avoid tears. Some players are also claiming that refreshing your router’s DNS or even simply restarting the game can fix it, although that doesn’t seem to work for everybody.<\/p>\n
