Epic’s<\/a> Unreal Engine has been passed around like a pack of chewing-gum in a school-yard.<\/p>\n

Just about every game developer has used Epic’s tech to build their projects, and now the innovators themselves are showing off their next update of their 3D graphics engine.<\/p>\n

The Unreal Engine 4 is shown off in a number of screenshots (although we would’ve preferred a video, but we’ll take what we can get), and its looking pretty impressive to say the least.<\/p>\n

The demo shown was built in less than 3 months by 14 engineers, and is said to be revealed publicly in June – probably at E3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The engine will undoubtedly find its way into games within the near future, but with the Unreal Engine 3 still looking gorgeous in games like Gears of War 3, Mortal Kombat and the upcoming Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, the new iteration of Epic’s engine may find itself at home with some of the PS4 and Xbox 720 launch titles.<\/p>\n
