Ubisoft is one of the biggest and best games publisher and developer in the world. According to Fudzilla, the French company recently outlined some of its future plans.<\/p>\n
Although recent months have not been particularly kind to many games developers, with Ubisoft feeling a 5.1% fourth quarter sales decline, the company remains optimistic about the future. In spite of this fact, the company still managed to increase its year-on-year sales figures by 14% in 2008.<\/p>\n
It is no surprise that Ubisoft managed to see a positive sales yield in 2008 as they released the new Prince of Persia, Far Cry 2, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, Naruto: The Broken Bond and Shaun White Snowboarding to name but a few.<\/p>\n
According to Fudzilla, Ubisoft has confirmed that it is working on a follow up to its moderately successful Shaun White Snowboarding. Although the title achieved relatively modest sales on the Xbox 360 and PS3, its performance on the Wii was outstanding.<\/p>\n
As expected, Tom Clancy’s HAWX is also due for a sequel since the title recently achieved its one million sales target. Although this was not officially confirmed, we can almost certainly expect a follow some time in 2010.<\/p>\n
The recent Prince of Persia has also achieved impressive sales figures, selling 2.5 million units worldwide. This success makes a follow up sometime in 2010 or 2011 almost certain.<\/p>\n
Ubisoft did confirm that its Wii-exclusive Red Steel 2 will be landing sometime towards the end of 2009, along with Assassin’s Creed 2, Splinter Cell: Conviction and Rabbids Go Home. Not only will we see these popular franchises expanded upon, but we will also see an all new franchise come out of Ubisoft towards the end of this year.<\/p>\n
Also due out over the next few months is Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, along with I Am Alive and R.U.S.E. Ubisoft also announced that Ghost Recon 4 will be released early in 2010.<\/p>\n
