Get ready to save the galaxy all over again! BioWare<\/a> has confirmed the Mass Effect 3 Rebellion Pack DLC<\/a> for launch on PC<\/a>, Xbox LIVE<\/a>, and the PlayStation Network<\/a> next week Tuesday, 29 May (or 30 May for EU PSN users, because of mass relay delays or something).<\/p>\n

The DLC features two new maps – Firebase Jade and Firebase Goddesss – as well as heaps of new gear and six new characters, including the Quarian Engineer and Infiltrator, Vorcha Soldier and Sentinel, Ex-Cerberus Adept and Vanguard.<\/p>\n

The expansion also adds a new mission objective, set to occur randomly during waves 3, 6 and 10, that tasks players were escorting a “high priority package” to an extraction point. Sounds super important – it’s probably cupcakes.<\/p>\n

More usefully, there’s a new equipment slot too, “offering players a persistent gameplay bonus that will not expire after the end of a match”.<\/p>\n

The DLC is free for all Online Pass owners, but everybody else will have to pay up some credits for it. No cost has been announced yet, though.<\/p>\n
