{"id":38794,"date":"2012-05-31T15:07:45","date_gmt":"2012-05-31T13:07:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=38794"},"modified":"2012-06-01T15:34:23","modified_gmt":"2012-06-01T13:34:23","slug":"do-you-hate-ea-as-much-as-this-guy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/38794-do-you-hate-ea-as-much-as-this-guy","title":{"rendered":"Do you hate EA as much as this guy?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve finally got an inside-look at the maniacal machinations of the <a title=\"Electronic Arts (EA)\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/11851-Electronic-Arts\">EA<\/a> corporate behemoth &#8211; except, it&#8217;s not real.<\/p>\n<p>The following video is purely a satirical look at the operations and ethics of Electronic Arts; and regardless of whether you agree of not &#8211; it&#8217;s still pretty funny.<\/p>\n<p>The video was put together by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/user\/RushFreak2\/featured\" target=\"_blank\">RushFreak2<\/a>, a <a title=\"YouTube\" href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/forum\/showthread.php\/20971-YouTube\">YouTube<\/a> user who creates animated comedy skits and machinima videos.<\/p>\n<p>We tried to contact him in order to find out what inspired him to make the video (and are still awaiting a reply). He does list a bunch of reasons for his EA dismay:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>This is for buying out some of the best game companies and turning them to mediocrity.<\/li>\n<li>This is for having some of the worst customer service in the gaming industry.<\/li>\n<li>This is for deliberately holding back game content for the sole purpose of making customers pay more for it later as DLC.<\/li>\n<li>This is for strictly enforcing copyrights on content that you did not even create.-This is for taking the Need for Speed franchise and completely ruining it.<\/li>\n<li>This is for supporting the S.O.P.A.<\/li>\n<li>This is for overworking your employees with no benefeits, demolishing any creative talent they have.<\/li>\n<li>This is for making terms of use that allow you to backstab your customers any time you see fit.<\/li>\n<li>This is for releasing the same things every year, an increasingly large number being the only difference.<\/li>\n<li>This is for forcing your customers to stay online to even play several games you publish at all.<\/li>\n<li>This is for backstabbing Valve, preventing the developers you publish for from releasing their games via Steam for the sole purpose of promoting your own platform.<\/li>\n<li>This is for overhyping your games and not delivering the content you promised.<\/li>\n<li>This is for bribing media review organizations to increase the rep of your games.<\/li>\n<li>This is for monopolizing the entire gaming industry and crushing all that oppose you.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;m sorry, Electronic Arts. I used to like you, but you had this one coming.
