Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance has gone from being an obscure spin-off to one of the most exciting games at this year’s E3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the over-the-top insanity that the pre-E3 trailer<\/a> brought, Platinum Games<\/a> have given a gameplay demonstration of the upcoming hyper-fast Metal Gear entry.<\/p>\n

The preview shows pure gameplay footage showing off many of the features the game has to offer, most notably the precision cutting mechanic and ninja-run ability, which allows Raiden to run up and over objects with the push of a button.<\/p>\n

Platinum Games highlight that the goal for Rising was to allow players to actually do the things that gamers could only watch in cutscenes in previous Metal Gear games.<\/p>\n

The game is slated for an early 2013 release period, and Konami<\/a> have confirmed that the game is currently playable at E3<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Being developed by Platinum Games<\/a> (Vanquish, Bayonetta), MGR: Revengeance is set to up-the-ante in terms of action for the series.<\/p>\n
