Ubisoft<\/a> chose not to show off their upcoming shooter Rainbow 6: Patriots at the biggest video game showcase of the year, saying it was \u201cthe best thing for the brand\u201d. Sure, that makes sense.<\/p>\n

Ubisoft exec Tony Key has confirmed that the game is still in active development, but isn\u2019t saying how far along it actually is at this point.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we decided was that the best thing for the brand was to not bring it to the show right now,” Key said.<\/p>\n

According to Ubisoft, their E3 showing was already too full due to big titles on show such as Splinter Cell: Blacklist and Watch Dogs.<\/p>\n

“We have a lot of other games that we want to focus people on and there will be more information on Rainbow coming.”<\/p>\n

On whether or not the game will be for current generation consoles, Key said:<\/p>\n

“This is the only generation that I know about, so I would assume yes.”<\/p>\n
