E3 has come and gone, and Sony’s latest handheld was a no-show at the show. A no-show-show? Yeah, that works. It’s probably also some sort of exotic noodle dish, maybe seasoned with deep-fried, crispy arachnids, but I digress.<\/p>\n
In an interview with Develop, Sony Worldwide Studio boss Shuhei Yoshida admitted that they could probably have made a bigger deal of the PlayStation Vita, after the company got a lot of complaints on Twitter.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn retrospect, we should\u2019ve spent more time showing and talking about our PS Vita titles,\u201d he said. \u201cWe [had] 25 PS Vita games playable on the show floor, some of which are really great titles I\u2019m very excited about. We could have spent more time talking about those, but we had a very clear intention this year to make the total press conference shorter, because we\u2019re notorious for holding lengthy ones.<\/p>\n
\u201cI hope we accomplished that with this year\u2019s conference, but from the perspective of people who are waiting for more information on Vita titles, we weren\u2019t able to provide that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Last month, Sony announced that they had sold 1.8 million PS Vitas worldwide since launch.
