Crystal Dynamics, the developer behind the gritty Tomb Raider reboot that impressed at E3, is looking to start work on a next-generation third-person action game.<\/p>\n
The news comes in the form of a job ad, which is seeking a senior engineer who will work on \u201ca cutting edge, original IP for future platforms\u201d. Not much reading between the lines required there.<\/p>\n
Specifically, the ad says the employee will work “to develop and iterate on next-gen animation systems and tools pipelines for engine systems on third-person action adventure AAA titles.”<\/p>\n
Since being exposed the ad has had a quick edit, cutting out the spicy stuff like \u201cfuture platforms\u201d and \u201cnext-generation\u201d \u2013 not that it does much good now that the cat\u2019s out of the bag.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s a slight possibility the \u201cnext-gen\u201d part was an error, but that seems highly unlikely. Given what we\u2019ve seen of Tomb Raider so far, this new IP could be something to get excited about.<\/p>\n
