After more than a year of beta testing on Steam, Valve has confirmed that the Left 4 Dead Cold Stream DLC will finally be launched for PC, Mac, and Xbox 360 on 24 July. Who said Valve never gets anything done on time?<\/p>\n
The DLC adds an an entirely new, four-chapter campaign to the game, as well as updated versions of the four original Left 4 Dead campaigns, Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Dead Air, and Death Toll. That’s a whole lot more zombie apocalypse bang-bang-bang for your buckshot.<\/p>\n
In a post over on the official Left 4 Dead blog, the dev team also promises “some other surprises and details” coming up, but in the meantime, they’ve confirmed that with the launch of Cold Stream, all mutations will be available at all times, so that everybody can play with chainsaws whenever they want. It’s the simple things in life, you know.<\/p>\n
No price tag has been attached to the DLC yet, although I don’t see it being free on 360, at least. Previous Xbox 360 Left 4 Dead DLC has been sold at 560 MSP, so expect to pay something like that (or more).<\/p>\n
