As part of its five-year plan to be on everything, everywhere, Rovio’s Angry Birds will soon be landing (or is it taking off?) on PS3, Xbox, and the 3DS in the form of a New! Improved!<\/em> Angry Birds Trilogy, including Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, and Angry Birds Rio.<\/p>\n

The game has also been upgraded for HD tellyboxes, with everything you’d expect from a proper console launch, as well as support for the PS3 Move, Xbox Kinect, and 3DS StreetPass.<\/p>\n

“You can think of the game as the ultimate collector\u2019s edition,” Rovio boss Petri J\u00e4rvilehto told IGN. “There are new cinematics, extras and other entertaining content. In addition all of the existing material has been uprezzed and re-treated for the high-resolution and big screen. The backgrounds have been animated, we’ve added lighting modes, reactive backgrounds, the list goes on and on.”<\/p>\n

“We believe that there are a lot of people on the consoles who appreciate a great casual game play experience. This is a game that resonates across a wide audience on many platforms,” he added.<\/p>\n
