Capcom’s most recent edition of its popular survival horror series was released on Xbox 360 and PS3 in March this year.<\/p>\n
Resident Evil V has players stepping into the shoes of Chris Redfield as he and Sheva Alomar investgate a terrorist threat in an unspecified African country.<\/p>\n
The game managed to sell over 2 million units in its first three weeks, and as of June it had sold over 5 million units around the world, making it the best selling Resident Evil game to date.<\/p>\n
All this and it still has not even been released on PC. In business terms, this was probably a good move on the part of Capcom as we all know how PC gamers love to pirate. However, the publisher seems content that it has milked the game for what it is worth on console, and is ready to give PC gamers a taste of the action.<\/p>\n
Capcom announced last night that Resident Evil V for PC will arrive in Europe on September 18. The game is therefore likely to be released shortly thereafter locally.<\/p>\n
The PC version will feature support for higher resolutions than the console versions, as well as support for Nvidia’s GeForce 3D Vision hardware. The new release will also feature subtle in-game changes, such as new costumes and a “new and improved mercenaries mode with three times as many enemies.”<\/p>\n
