{"id":4258,"date":"2009-08-11T14:21:00","date_gmt":"2009-08-11T12:21:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T22:00:00","slug":"bionic-commando-developer-closing-down","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/4258-bionic-commando-developer-closing-down","title":{"rendered":"Bionic Commando developer closing down?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gamasutra.com\/php-bin\/news_index.php?story=24786\" target=\"_blank\">Gamasutra<\/a> Swedish developer GRIN, which has most recently been responsible for titles such as Bionic Commando and Terminator Salvation may be facing financial difficulties.<\/p>\n<p>The studio reportedly implemented significant layoffs earlier this year and was forced to close its Barcelona and Gothenburg offices as a result of poor sales and negative reception to its titles. Additionally sources have indicated that employees at the company&rsquo;s main office in Stockholm have been told not to show up for work and that the company may be undergoing insolvency procedures.<\/p>\n<p>GRIN was established in 1997 and experienced a considerable rise in popularity and notoriety when it was handed responsibility for the PC versions of Tom Clancy&rsquo;s Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter.
