The 965 BE is the fastest AMD CPU ever released and it runs at a stock frequency of 3.4GHz.<\/p>\n<p>The CPU&rsquo;s TDP has also been bumped up from 125W to 140W, although many reviews are indicating that the real-world power consumption of the CPU is almost identical to that of the 955 Black Edition. Furthermore, from what many early benchmarks are indicating, the CPU&rsquo;s 200MHz advantage over AMD&rsquo;s previous top chip bares little improvement over the 955 BE.<\/p>\n<p>Priced at $245 (R1960), the CPU is just $20 (R180) more expensive than the 955BE. We are expecting the CPU to retail locally for around R2800.
