Claims from Anonymous that the hacktivist collective had (once again) breached the PlayStation Network have been officially denied by Sony.<\/p>\n
Last night, the Anonymous Twitter stream linked to a list of email addresses and encrypted passwords, alleged to be part of a 50 GB database of 10 million compromised PSN user accounts. But the list appears to be a copy-paste of a previous and unrelated list of email addresses and passwords dating back to March this year.<\/p>\n
Sony later responded: “We’ve confirmed that the recent claim that PlayStation Network was illegally hacked and that customer passwords and email addresses were accessed is completely false.”<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, over on N4G<\/a>, the person claiming to be behind the claimed hack is claiming that, “I am a man with no name, I’m the man behind Anonymous, hence ‘master & card visa takedown in 2010’ FBI, will you seize the innocent doors, or a devil behind that door whos staring right at’cha? I got no twitter, facebook, neither I go in IRC… if someone takes credit for this pwnage, he’s a f*****.
