Nvidia announced the newest chipset in its 600 series of video-processing hardware, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti, which is designed primarily for gamers and enthusiasts.<\/p>\n

The GTX 660 Ti\u00a0is based on the same Kepler architecture as the chipsets powering the previously-released\u00a0cards in the 600 series: the\u00a0single-GPU GTX 670 and GTX 680, and the dual-GPU GTX 690.<\/p>\n

The GTX 660 Ti will support DirectX 11 rendering, which lets games take advantage of\u00a0visual features such as tessellation. It will also use PhysX on-board physics processing.<\/p>\n

Kepler-specific features, such as temporal anti-aliasing (TXAA), a combination of hardware-based Morphological Anti-Aliasing\u00a0(or\u00a0MSAA) and\u00a0Fast Approximate Anti-Aliasing (FXAA),\u00a0and GPU Boost – which dynamically increases the card’s clock speed if the thermal and electrical headroom exist – are supported as well.<\/p>\n

For a limited time, gamers who purchase a GTX 660 Ti GPU from a participating retailer or e-tailer will receive a voucher for a free copy of Gearbox\u2019s upcoming sequel, Borderlands 2.<\/p>\n
