3DS exclusive Castlevania: Mirror of Fate has been pushed back to early next year, Konami has announced.<\/p>\n
“It’s been two years since the enormous success of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, and with this next installment, we want to take the necessary time needed to give fans a handheld title unlike any other,” said producer Dave Cox.<\/p>\n
“Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate will bridge the storyline to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, also planned to release in 2013.”<\/p>\n
The adjusted date of \u201cearly 2013\u201d may be optimistic even, as at this year\u2019s E3 in June it was little more than a trailer, and Konami stated the game was \u201cat least 18 months away\u201d \u2013 putting it at December 2013.<\/p>\n
Fans of the series may have to wait a little longer than they had hoped to get their hands on a new instalment, and with no firm release date set it would seem that we shouldn\u2019t hope our breath for a January release.<\/p>\n
