{"id":43418,"date":"2012-08-22T13:22:27","date_gmt":"2012-08-22T11:22:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=43418"},"modified":"2012-08-22T13:26:11","modified_gmt":"2012-08-22T11:26:11","slug":"free-borderlands-2-with-evga-nvidia-geforce-gtx-660-ti-in-sa-pricing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/43418-free-borderlands-2-with-evga-nvidia-geforce-gtx-660-ti-in-sa-pricing","title":{"rendered":"Free Borderlands 2 with EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti in SA: pricing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Nvidia recently launched their newest entry in the 600 series of video-processing hardware, the GeForce GTX 660 Ti, and South African computer retailer AxizWorkgroup have provided pricing for the new card.<\/p>\n<p>R3,499 (RRP) gets you the EVGA Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 Ti, plus Gearbox&#8217;s upcoming FPS\/RPG sequel Borderlands 2 thrown into the mix.<\/p>\n<p>Gearbox and Nvidia recently joined hands to show off <a href=\"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/news\/43158-borderlands-2-pc-video-shows-snazzy-physx-effects.html\" target=\"_blank\">the snazzy visual effects of Borderlands 2<\/a> when enhanced with a GeForce GTX 660 Ti; so bundling the two together is a fitting combo.<\/p>\n<p>Designed primarily for gamers and enthusiasts, the GTX 660 Ti is based on the same Kepler architecture as the chipsets powering the previously-released cards in the 600 series: the single-GPU GTX 670 and GTX 680, and the dual-GPU GTX 690.<\/p>\n<p>The GTX 660 Ti will support DirectX 11 rendering, which lets games take advantage of visual features such as tessellation.
