{"id":43490,"date":"2012-08-23T11:40:37","date_gmt":"2012-08-23T09:40:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/?p=43490"},"modified":"2012-08-23T11:49:33","modified_gmt":"2012-08-23T09:49:33","slug":"counter-strike-global-offensive-pc-update-tackles-glitches","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mygaming.co.za\/news\/business\/43490-counter-strike-global-offensive-pc-update-tackles-glitches","title":{"rendered":"Counter Strike: Global Offensive PC update tackles glitches"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Despite being released less than a day ago, Valve\u2019s Counter Strike revival, Global Offensive, has received a bug-fixing patch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">The update fixes certain stability, server and matchmaking issues, to name a few areas of improvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">On the presentation side, the audio has been tweaked thanks to the patch, as sound levels have been fined-tuned to cater for the more competitive\/freakishly-good players who rely on noises\/echo-location.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Here are the full patch notes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Addressed some stability issues.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed perf issues when logging is enabled.<\/li>\n<li>Added a convar (cl_crosshairgap) to control the gap of the classic crosshair.<\/li>\n<li>The smoke grenade smoke is now taller so it&#8217;s now more useful to use it to block places like double-doors in dust2.<\/li>\n<li>Players can no longer interrupt another player defusing the bomb by standing in between them and the bomb.<\/li>\n<li>Disabled sv_pure on listen servers.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an sv_pure bug that resulted in false inconsistent MD5s<\/li>\n<li>Increased search iterations and time delay for keeping sessions in the ignored pool. mm_ignored_sessions_reset can now reset the ignored pool.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed a case where MOTD prevents input to the team select screen.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed occasional &#8220;server is full&#8221; error when matchmaking into classic casual games.<\/li>\n<li>Fixed an exploit where a vote could be called for an invalid map.<\/li>\n<li>Added some sound mix settings suggested by pros<\/li>\n<li>Increased the volume of bullet impacts and ricochets<\/li>\n<li>Increased the volume of 3rd person footsteps<\/li>\n<li>Increased the volume of weapon foley sounds (reloads, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Decreased the volume of ambient sounds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Linux<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Added steamcmd support to srcds_run.
