<\/em><\/strong>There are constant rumours and dashed hopes within the world of video game-to-movie adaptations, with news that the Uncharted movie recently lost another director<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Despite the bad news (or good news, depending on how you see it), there are a few films that are set for release within the near future, set to bring some of our favourite gaming characters to the silver-screen.<\/p>\n

Resident Evil 5: Retribution<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s pretty crazy to think that we\u2019ve already had four Resident Evil movies since the release of the first one in 2002, and even though many may have thought it was impossible to follow-up \u201cExtinction\u201d, the clever subtitle-guys in Hollywood came up with \u201cRetribution\u201d.<\/p>\n

The fifth movie in the series is on the way this September and set to fully flesh-out the Resident Evil universe by bringing back a number of main characters, as well as introducing some new ones.<\/p>\n

Alice (Milla Jovovich) will make her return, along with Jill Valentine (Sienna Guillory), Rain Ocampo (Michelle Rodriguez), and Albert Wesker (Shawn Roberts) to name a few, along with Ada Wong (Li Bingbing) and Leon S. Kennedy (Johann Urb) making their big-screen debuts.<\/p>\n

The premise surrounds the global spread of Umbrella\u2019s T-Virus, and Alice\u2019s resolution to hunt down and kill those responsible, once and for all.<\/p>\n
